Yuja Wang will appear on tour as a guest soloist with the Berliner Philarmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle in November 2017. This tour of Asia will be the last in the Berliner Philarmoniker’s Rattle era, and marks Ms. Wang’s first engagement with the Maestro. Yuja Wang will join them for concerts at the Guangzhou Opera House on 11/12, Wuhan Qintai Concert Hall on 11/13, Shanghai Oriental Art Center on 11/16 and Suntory Hall in Tokyo on 11/24. The concerts will feature Richard Strauss’ Don Juan op. 20, Béla Bartók’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, No.2, one of the most challenging works in the repertoire, and Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 in E minor, op. 98.
