This July, Yuja Wang will join The Verbier Festival for four thrilling concerts which will showcase a variety of repertoire from solo selections to chamber music; she will end her time there performing with the Verbier Festival Orchestra under the baton of Klaus Mäkelä.
On July 26, Ms. Wang will present her solo recital at the Salle des Combins featuring works by Schoenberg, Beethoven, Scriabin and more. Following this, she will perform chamber works by Brahms and Janáček with the violinist Leonidas Kavakos at Église de Verbier on July 28. They will again come together for a concert on July 29 along with cellist Gautier Capuçon; the three renowned artists will perform piano trios by Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky at Église de Verbier. Finally, Ms. Wang will join the Verbier Festival Orchestra for Franz Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Maurice Ravel’s solo piano suite Le Tombeau de Couperin at Salle des Combins on July 30.
