North American Recital Tour


Yuja Wang starts her extensive solo recital tour, appearing in renowned concert halls throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, including Carnegie Hall, Davies Symphony Hall, and the Het Concertgebouw, this month. Beginning in North America, Ms. Wang will take this new solo program to Europe in March and April, and to Asia in December.

The program consists of 10 works, which will be performed in groupings. Among them is J.S. Bach’s Toccata in C minor, three works by Frederic Chopin and four selections by Brahms. The second half focuses on five compositions, all written in the first two decades of the 20th century, including Berg’s masterful Piano Sonata. Also featured are two sonatas by Scriabin and Une barque sur l’océan (A Boat on the Ocean) from Miroirs (Mirrors), a five-movement solo suite by Maurice Ravel.
