Opening Night Gala Concert with the LAPhil and Gustavo Dudamel


Yuja Wang joins a spectacular roster of artists for the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s 2017/18 season opening night concert, hosted on September 26 at Walt Disney Concert Hall. She performs Mozart’s Double Piano Concerto in E-flat major, K. 365 with pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet on an all-Mozart programme that also features the composer’s Symphony No. 1 in E-flat major, K. 16,  “Discede crudelis” from Apollo et Hyacinthus, K. 38 and Exsultate jubilate, K. 165, with vocal soloists Anna Prohaska (soprano) and Tim Mead (countertenor).  Proceeds from this not-to-be-missed concert, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, directly benefit the LAPhil’s education programs.
