Tour of Asia with the San Francisco Symphony


Yuja Wang embarks on an extensive tour of Asia this autumn, with the San Francisco Symphony and Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas. Ms. Wang plays the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 1 on November 9 at the Seoul Arts Center, November 17 at the SHOAC in Shanghai, on November 18 at Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts (where she is currently the Artist-in-Residence), and November 21 at Suntory Hall in Tokyo.

She plays Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2  – her recent performances of the piece with the SFS were praised as “glorious” (SFGate)  – at the National Concert Hall in Taipei on November 13, the SHOAC on November 15, Osaka’s Festival Hall on November 20, and they complete the tour at NHK Hall in Tokyo on November 22.
