Yuja Wang and the New York Philharmonic present Brahms and more in NYC and on tour in Asia


Yuja Wang and the New York Philharmonic, led by Music Director Jaap van Zweden, are preparing for a tour throughout Asia following four performances in New York City. Beginning on February 28 and continuing from March 1-3, Ms. Wang will perform Brahms’ stunning Piano Concerto No. 1  at David Geffen Hall with the NYPhil and Maestro van Zweden. The program will conclude with Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5.

Soon after, her tour with the New York Philharmonic begins with performances March 8 & 9 in Beijing (National Centre for the Performing Arts). The program features Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 and Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps. The tour continues to Suntory Hall in Tokyo on March 13, and the National Concert Hall in Taipei on March 17 & 18. The final performance on March 18 features two different works; Prokofiev’s energetic Piano Concerto No. 3 and Mahler’s powerful and poignant Symphony No. 5.
