On May 24, Yuja Wang will return to the stage of Barbican Hall, accompanied by the illustrious London Symphony Orchestra and conducted by François-Xavier Roth. This eagerly anticipated concert will be a musical feast, highlighting the UK premiere of Magnus Lindberg’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Lindberg’s concerto, written for Ms. Wang, is celebrated for its groundbreaking approach, weaving together innovative melodies and intricate musical textures. In addition to Lindberg’s concerto, the LSO will embark on a captivating journey through Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, affectionately known as the ‘Pastoral Symphony.’
Following the Barbican Hall performance, the program will continue its musical odyssey, gracing the stage of the Brighton Festival on May 26.
