Yuja Wang reunites with violinist Leonidas Kavakos for an extensive tour throughout Europe this month, bringing their extraordinary musical partnership to some of the continent’s most renowned performance venues.
The duo launches the tour with a programme featuring Janáček’s Violin Sonata; Schubert’s Fantasy in C major, D934; Debussy’s Violin Sonata in G minor and Bartók’s Violin Sonata No. 1, BB84 at the Philharmonie Luxembourg on December 11. They present it again at Zurich’s Tonhalle Maag (December 12), Antwerp’s Blauwe zaal (December 13), the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam (December 14), Amsterdam’s Musikverein (December 17), the Accademia Nazionale de Santa Cecilia (December 18), and London’s Wigmore Hall (December 19) . Wang and Kavakos also travel to Geneva for a recital at Victoria Hall on December 15, replacing Beethoven’s Sonata with Bartók’s Violin Sonata No. 1 BB84.
