Beginning the new year, Yuja Wang embarks on a multi-city concert tour with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. The tour is unique in that Ms. Wang will be featured as soloist and conductor from the piano on several pieces, with Lorenza Borrani leading selections by Mendelssohn. Performances in Italy will be hosted at the Teatro Communale in Ferrara (January 11); Teatro Grande in Brescia (January 12); and Teatro Romolo Valli in Reggio Emilia (January 13). The ensemble then travels to Spain, for concerts at the Kursaal in San Sebastian (January 15); Sociedad Filarmonica de Bilbao (January 16); Auditorio de Navarra Baluarte in Pamplona (January 17); Auditorio de Zaragoza (January 18); and L’Auditori in Barcelona (January 20).
