For the first time in her career, Yuja Wang will perform all four of Rachmaninoff’s virtuosic piano concertos, as well as his “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini,” in a single concert on January 28 (sold-out) with the Philadelphia Orchestra and conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin at Carnegie Hall. In addition to this once-in-a-lifetime performance, she performs all four works across two weekends with the orchestra in Philadelphia at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, starting on January 26 and concluding on February 5, in celebration of the composer’s 150th birthday.
Following these engagements, Yuja travels to California to perform her Rachmaninoff cycle with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel for their Rachmaninoff Festival on February 9 through February 19. For more information about the Rachmaninoff Festival, click here.
