Yuja Wang, alongside conductor Klaus Mäkelä and the Orchestre de Paris, is set to perform at the Philharmonie de Paris on October 4 and 5. The program will see Yuja perform two celebrated Maurice Ravel compositions. His Piano Concerto for the Left Hand is a unique masterpiece known for its mysterious and brooding atmosphere contrasted with thrilling cadenzas. In contrast, the Piano Concerto in G Major is a vibrant blend of classical and jazz elements, featuring catchy melodies and rhythmic vitality that reflect the cultural exchange between Europe and the United States during its composition.
Claude Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune will kick off the evening, followed by Béla Bartók’s The Miraculous Mandarin as the closing piece.
