This November and December, Yuja Wang will embark on a recital tour throughout South Korea and China. The carefully curated program unfolds a captivating musical journey, featuring compositions by Olivier Messiaen, Aleksandr Scriabin, Claude Debussy, Frédéric Chopin, and Ludwig van Beethoven. From Messiaen’s ethereal and compositions to Scriabin’s innovative harmonies, Debussy’s impressionistic charm, and Chopin’s emotionally charged narrative, the first half promises a diverse exploration. The mood intensifies with Chopin’s Ballade No. 4 in F Minor, Op. 52, and concludes with Beethoven’s powerful Piano Sonata No. 32 in C Minor, Op. 111, inviting the audience on a profound and evocative musical odyssey of piano masterpieces.
