In Fall 2015, Yuja Wang guests with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra on tour in Asia, performing Tchaikovsky’s rarely heard Second Piano Concerto under the baton of Gustavo Gimeno.
The tour begins in Taipei, Taiwan at the National Chiang Kai Shek Concert Hall on November 5, following two performances in the orchestra’s home city of Amsterdam on October 28-29. Yuja and the RCO then travel to Japan, appearing in Kyoto on November 7, Nagoya on November 9, and in Tokyo at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater on November 12. They close the tour at Tokyo’s Suntory Hall on November 13.
