Joined by Ms. Wang. the orchestra then will move on to Rachmaninov’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 1 in F sharp minor, Op. 1, a work in the style of Edvard Grieg that the composer originally wrote at the age of 18 and significantly revised 26 years later in 1917. Closing out the program will be Janáček’s Glagolitic Mass which is often described as a sacred music masterpiece.
