Yuja Wang embarks on solo recital tour across the United States & Europe


Beginning this spring, Yuja Wang embarks on an expansive solo recital tour across the United States and Europe.

Her program comprises Brahms’s Ballades Op. 10, Nos. 1 & 2; Schumann’s Kreisleriana, Op. 16, “Phantasien für das Pianoforte;” and Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 29, “Hammerklavier.”

The American leg of the tour kicks off on May 2 at the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA, followed by performances at the Soka Performing Arts Center in Aliso Viejo, CA on May 3 and at Rohnert, CA’s Weill Hall on May 6. On May 9, Yuja takes the stage in Santa Fe, NM at the Lensic Performing Arts Center. Her American solo appearances culminate in a return to New York’s Carnegie Hall on May 14.

Yuja then heads to Europe, appearing first at the Tonhalle in Dusseldorf on June 11. On June 13, she appears at the Berliner Philharmonie, on June 15 at the Philharmonie de Paris, on June 19 at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and on June 21 at the Laiezshalle in Hamburg. Yuja’s solo recital tour closes on June 25 as she appears at the Great Hall of the Zürich Tonhalle.
